Ms. Bundy Recognized as FCPS 2020 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher!
Congratulations to fifth-grade teacher Ayanna René Bundy who was recognized as the FCPS 2020 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher!
Ayanna has an astounding ability to connect meaningfully with students, parents, and colleagues and intentionally takes the time to build and maintain these relationships. It is rare when she is not enjoying lunch with her students, both past and present. As a COACH mentor and Girls on the Run coach, Ayanna is an excellent role model, coming "#Back2Fairfax" and compassionately serving her community. In the classroom, Ayanna recognizes that teaching is about taking risks with instruction to reach every student. With differentiation at the forefront of her mind, Ayanna creatively adapts lessons to address students' diverse learning needs. "Fun, love, and high expectations" is the way of life in Ayanna's classroom, and it is evident students know that too.
