Responsive Classroom

At Hollin Meadows, we believe that the social curriculum is as important as the academic curriculum. Using the Responsive Classroom approach, students begin the day with a Morning Meeting which is a time for students to connect with each other, share, have fun and prepare for the academic tasks of the day.

We respond to misbehavior with logical consequences and work to meet the developmental needs of each child.

The home-school connection is critical to a child's success, and we begin that connection even before school starts with our Welcome Walk visit to student homes in August.
